Scientific Games Corporation has been lauded by the World Lottery Association (WLA) for its dedication to accountable gaming. The organization has been granted the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework certification, which encompasses its operations across five continents.

The certification was bestowed after a comprehensive evaluation of Scientific Games Corporation’s global lottery operations, including its retail and digital offerings. The audit concluded that the company has instituted a thorough array of responsible gaming practices, including its “Healthy Play” initiative, which was introduced in 2020.

The “Healthy Play” initiative is designed to foster healthy gaming enjoyment through player education. It equips lottery employees with responsible gaming training, tailored to ensure awareness and comprehension of healthy, accountable lottery gaming across the company.

Scientific Games Corporation has also produced a “Healthy Play Guide,” a digital publication that outlines the “Healthy Play” program and responsible gaming tools. A companion website will be unveiled this year, which can be customized for individual lotteries and accessed via QR code by lottery stakeholders.

Scientific Games has emerged as a frontrunner in ethical gaming practices within the global lottery sector, as per Melissa Azam, Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the WLA.

The firm’s “Healthy Play” initiative provides lotteries with practical tools to bolster their own responsible gaming endeavors, showcasing Scientific Games’ dedication to the WLA’s ethical gaming principles and their investment in the lottery industry’s future.

“Scientific Games is honored to receive the WLA’s Responsible Gaming Certification, which acknowledges our commitment to healthy play for lottery organizations across the globe,” stated Carla Schaefer, Vice President of Lottery Responsible Gaming at Scientific Games.

Our aim is to furnish lottery clients with resources and best practices to assist them in promoting their products in a wholesome and ethical manner. Our “Healthy Play” program aids lotteries in educating their players, fostering trust, and enhancing lottery comprehension.
