Catena Media Reports 7% Revenue Growth in 2022 Fueled by North American Market
Affiliate marketing firm, Catena Media, announced a revenue surge of 7% for the fiscal year 2022, hitting €110.1 million (equivalent to $117.3 million in US currency). This positive financial trajectory was largely driven by robust results in the North American market, which now constitutes a substantial share of their total revenue stream.
The company witnessed a remarkable 24% leap in North American revenue, reaching €84.5 million. This achievement can be partially credited to the introduction of digital sports wagering in Maryland, delivering a considerable upswing in the final quarter of the year.
Despite the overall revenue expansion and the onboarding of 354,050 new depositing clients (representing a 2% uptick), Catena Media recorded a 16% dip in adjusted EBITDA, concluding at €5.01 million. This translated to an adjusted EBITDA margin of 46%.
Chief Executive Officer Michael Daly conveyed appreciation for the company’s workforce and their dedication throughout 2022. He maintains a positive outlook on Catena Media’s prospects as they continue to adapt to the dynamic environment of internet-based gaming and sports betting.
Im genuinely amazed by the team’s capacity to maintain concentration on objectives, despite the current reorganization. Transitions can be challenging, yet their commitment remains steadfast. A heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of them.”
This declaration follows intriguing developments earlier this month: Better Collective, a rival firm, procured over 5% of Catena Media. This action has certainly prompted curiosity and ignited considerable conjecture regarding future events.
