Allwyn Experiences Strong Third Quarter Ahead of UK National Lottery Takeover
Allwyn, the organization set to assume control of the UK National Lottery, experienced a robust third quarter in 2022. Their overall gaming income surged by 11% compared to the previous year, hitting €958.6 million (equivalent to $994.3 million).
This expansion was driven by substantial digital sales in the Czech Republic, a crucial territory for Allwyn. Regarding significant markets, Allwyn’s share value received a lift in the third quarter following the official granting of the UK National Lottery’s fourth permit, scheduled to commence in February 2024.
Allwyn’s Chief Executive, Robert Chvatal, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes. He emphasized the company’s remarkable natural progression and the durability of their operational framework. He also drew attention to their modified EBITDA, which expanded by 10% to €319.9 million. Nonetheless, it’s noteworthy that their adjusted EBITDA margin contracted marginally year-on-year, reaching 54%. On the whole, it was a highly prosperous quarter for Allwyn as they gear up for their entry into the UK.
