Betsson Expands Latin American Presence with Inkabet Acquisition
A prominent online gaming company, Betsson, is increasing its footprint in Latin America by way of its subsidiary, SW Nordic. They have reached an agreement to purchase Inkabet, a well-known internet wagering platform in the western region of South America. This calculated maneuver is a substantial move for Betsson, strengthening their standing in a territory they view as crucial for their expansion.
The transaction is valued at an upfront $25 million, with the possibility of an extra $4 million contingent upon Inkabet’s performance throughout the coming year. This signifies Betsson’s readiness to enhance the agreement should Inkabet achieve certain revenue and earnings objectives.
Established in 2012, Inkabet has provided sports wagering and internet casino entertainment, experiencing remarkable growth, with income surging by 146% in the twelve months preceding June 2021. Betsson will utilize its current credit lines to fund the acquisition, guaranteeing they retain the fiscal adaptability to pursue alternative prospects in the times ahead.
